The song “unnamed feeling” by Metallica is one of my fav songs simply because it makes me get the frustration out from my S.A.D. It also makes you feel that you are not alone! check it out!

WOW. You just described my life to a T. I really almost wanted to cry. That’s so brave of you to put yourself out there like this. Sometimes I feel like I’m all by myself in the world and it sucks. Oh and the walmart experience, that happens to me every time, I just get nervous for no reason at all. You’re a very strong girl, thanks for doing this video, its kind of weird but I feel like watching it helped me. So thanks!

Also, if you had SAD you wouldn’t be making a video and posting it on youtube for eveyone to see. Real SAD people don’t have the courage to do that.
You don’t have SAD.

that’s bullcrap.
not everyone who has social anxiety has the same symptoms or the same triggers.
if YOU had s.a.d. than YOU would know that.

I also suffer from SAD but, I also suffer heavily from dysthymia. Both cripple me down like there’s no tomorrow. I am almost 24 and I am still with my parents. Moved out once and had things going.. but rebounded back into it all.. What’s worse, is that I do not have insurance, and the state is just giving me run arounds with a side of long waitings.. I know that there are many people out there like me, but the thought just doesn’t even phase me.. and it hurts..

I’m 24 too and still at home. People think it’s because I love home, but it’s more because I just…don’t know how to deal with the outside. Even at home I’m not happy because I want to be able to make friends and pursue careers. I’m sorry you’re hurting too.

The easiest way to over come this problem is to be careless about other ppl’s opinion. SAY “I DON’T CARE” WHEN EVER YOU START THINKING NEGATIVELY. I say that to my self and believe it or not, it worksssss!!!! You will enjoy your life if you don’t care.
Please try it and let me know wht happens

Being preoccupied mentally is a big help, if you have a passion for something, use that. Even if you’re just going to walk the dog, oftentimes thinking about the plot of a book or a song works. My heart use pound heavily in class, to a visible extent, what’s worse is I had a knack for showing up in the wrong rooms, haha. So you’re def. speaking my language.

when i watched this video i seen myself when it comes to being in huge crowds or small i always feel paranoid like someone is talking about me or looking at me.i completely understand how it feels and i think i have been going through it all my life and was never diagnosed.and it has to be one of the reasons why i have no friends today.

Really sucks to have this disorder, I’m in the same situation that you’re in. But in my case, I really think my negative thoughts are realistic, I feel people look at me like a total idiot. And sometimes they do

I think people with this disorder should form meet-up groups and come together and try to help each other. I looked for a meet-up group in Dallas for this disorder, but could not find one. if anyone here lives in dallas and likes to chat or meet, please let me know.

I am 27 yo male and I know how it feels cause I suffer the same thing. Very frustrating. It stops you from enjoying life. Mine I believe was due to excessive bullying and teasing when I was young. I have never asked for help though but I am considering that. Thanks for your video. It helps me.

How did you get diagnosed with SA? If you don’t mind my asking?

I have social anxiety too and it sucks, I quit going to school last year pretty much. I also can’t have conversations period, i just dont talk to people lol. Yeah, it’s bad. I’m just like you though, I have online friends but no RL friends. It helps, but not enough.

Try some over the counter meds like HTP-5, or Inositol. Read up on them on the web.
