I’m amazed by the increasing number of people that are sharing their feelings about SA. It’s great to know that we are not alone

    MY HELP

    1) VITAMINS- I take a mulivitamin, a calcium / magnesium / zinc pill and a V-B complex everyday. A deficiancy in vitamins is very common amongst people with SA

    2) Research- The more research you do on SA the more youll find that it is actually very common and therefore make you feel less isolated. More then 17,000,000 americans experience it. Thats roughly 1 in 8 people.

    3) Buy or rent this book – ” The Shyness & Social Anxiety Workbook Second Edition” is my # 1 pick!

Oh dear.. GOD? Get real, you idiot. Praying to some superior being gets you nowhere in life. If you want something to happen, have a go, don’t pray for it.. that changes nothing. God is a myth, a figure, a nothing, a being that people hide behind from the true fact that no one is watching over us. We’re an independent species, if anything happens, it’s because of us, our own work and maintenance… not because of some God bullshit. When are people going to open their fucking eyes.

one of the best things to do is learning deep relaxation before forth coming events, and the best relaxation technique to do so is Yoga Nidra, it helps with all sorts of nervousness, fear and stress related issues by way of balancing and harmonising both brain hemispheres as well as relaxing the body perfectly. Its always available on ebay, look for the title
“Yoga Nidra total relaxation no more tension”

The sad thing is I find this girl really attractive and if I were to see her I would feel too shy and awkward to even talk to her without even knowing she has the same issue as me. Social phobia has screwed me out of so many possible friendships and relationships.

I suffer from exactly the same thing. I can barely leave the house, have no social life, and i can’t work either. I have no life, i guess i just merely exist. I am too stubborn to end life early, because of my will to live. One famous quote in which i live by helps me through the hard times, by German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, “that which does not kill us makes us stronger” meaning, you can knock me down, but i’ll get up stronger each and every time. Good luck with the therapy, take care.
