I hate the feeling of isolation
the feeling that I cant communicate anything
and having a lot of people around
oh how I hate it

very clear, rational explanation of social anxiety. makes me want to show this video to alot of people I know just to help explain my situation. As far as you not having many male friends… its definitely your anxiety, not you that’s the problem. You’re very attractive and charming.

I watched some of ur vids and u dont look like u have SAD at all
#4 by ConsueloDASA on April 21st, 2010
@khanhberlake92 Do you act terrify when you’re with people you trust or when you’re alone in a room? If so, your anxiety is more intense than mine. I have no reason to lie about this. Especially, being such a debilitating disorder. I have struggle with it since I been 13 years old.Pardon me, for not being the stereotypical suffered from SAD. Knowing the pain it causes, I don’t know who in the right mind would want to lie about this fucking disorder.

@khanhberlake92 I think you also missed the part where I clearly stated I have been to THERAPY & I have READ SELF-HELP BOOKS. It has taken me so many years & a lot of hard work to be where I am at. However, it still kicks in during public speaking or when I have to talk to authority figures. Some days, I just randomly feel anxiety-ridden. As I stated once again, some days are better than others & I have made a lot of improvement. I think you ought to be a little less judging.

The reason why she isn’t looking she has SAD is because she is extraverted by nature, im also extraverted by nature and thats overcompensate the anxiety a bit !
I think people think the sigma is that all SAD suffers are introverted thats absolutely not true ! SAD makes you only more introverted to the outside world then what you are actually are.
but you could still be by nature very extraverted like me, but still be anxious…
PS, read lindenmethod

You may well be a TCK. Do a search for tckid and go to the page “What is a TCK?”. It may well explain a lot about yourself.

I’m happy you’ve improved this much. It gives me hope! I think I have mild SAD but not extreme and I’m seeing a therapist for it. For me the worst is when people can see my anxiety. It’s the worst.
#9 by ConsueloDASA on April 25th, 2010
@GREENEAGLZ I did.And yeah, some of the aspects I do relate too.Thanks.

i drink alot of caffine too and it makes me feel nervous and sick and makes me feel worse:(
#11 by khanhberlake92 on April 26th, 2010
@ConsueloDASA No i dont act terrify when im with people I trust or when Im alone in the room, but still I think my SAD is more severe then yours, I isolate myself in my room and hardly ever go out, thats why I have only few friends; u seem to be more confident than me. And I have struggle with it since around age 13 too. SAD sucks
#12 by khanhberlake92 on April 26th, 2010
@ConsueloDASA Actually im not an english speaker so I couldnt here some parts of ur vids. The fact is that Im too shy to even seek for help. And yeah some day I feel much better than usual. Thank u; I will try to overcome this ****ing disorder
#13 by ConsueloDASA on April 26th, 2010
@khanhberlake92 Yes, your SAD is probably more severe than mine.I sought treatment for it, you haven’t.Of course, my SAD is minimize due to that. What bother me is the fact you said it didn’t look like I had SAD. As if I was lying or something. That is just wrong. As I said, I don’t know who in their right mind would lie about such a painful disease. But, whatever. Best of luck. Now you know not all people who suffer from SAD act the same.
#14 by ConsueloDASA on April 26th, 2010
@myangelmichael1 I know. And the worse thing is that it is so hard to stop drinking caffeine even though it does not help the situation.
#15 by ConsueloDASA on April 26th, 2010
@fakingfrench Thank you! Best of luck. I think the most crucial step is to break our shell and seek treatment for it. I also hate when my anxiety is visible. I think people are judging me & thinking that I am crazy or something.

@MrAnxiousguy1 Thank you! Finally somebody else that understands. I received other comments similar to those of Khanhberlake & I find it so offensive. Just because I act a certain way in a room alone or with people I know doesn’t mean I don’t have SAD or that I am lying. We can all be at different stages with SAD. Especially if you try to not let it ruin your life.

Thanks for sharing your experiences, it was good to hear. I can really understand and relate to these experiences. You seem very nice and cool though, I wish you well. Your accent sounds sweet too.

@MrAnxiousguy1 thanks for the information. Ive always been thinking people with are all introverted, but now I know that all people can have it
#19 by khanhberlake92 on April 27th, 2010
@ConsueloDASA No Im not saying u lyong. Sorry if I made u think so. At the beginning I believed u have SAD ’cause no one wanted to lie like that. Its just u look so confident and full of energy, which is completely opposite with me. Im always depressed because of SAD. Thank u
#20 by MrAnxiousguy1 on April 27th, 2010
@khanhberlake92 Hi there, you are not depressed every anxiety disorder suffer have Hypervigilance thats to much emotion ( in this case fear ) the reason why your are depressed is just frustration that you can’t come out of it but it isn’t real clinical depression that is the lack of emotion.
Google lindenmethod i know people in my own community have recovered 100% by it so it isn’t a con or a scam just look the website its really common sense..

@alizee2010 Thank you my dear. I really appreciate it. I think the one good thing abut this disorder it’s that you become more compassionate to others since you know what’s like to suffer…
At any rate, thanks for watching my vid. I am glad it can help others to not feel so alone in this journey.

@khanhberlake92 And I am too I just try to not let it overcome me. It is horrible to have to limit your daily interactions. To want to speak & can’t because you’re afraid of your anxiety being noticeable. It sucks to have to deal with this. It makes me feel flaw & so stupid. I hate dealing with SAD. It is such a painful disorder. Best of luck in your journey with SAD.
