Some non-medication treatments are cognitive behavior therapy, hypnosis, breathing exercises, yoga, acupressure/acupuncture, desensitization therapy, etc. The root seems to be to learn to reconstruct your thoughts to overcome fear.  

There are books on the subject which are helpful, and listings online under &quot;panic attacks,&quot; including WebMD.com (Panic attack treatment and prevention).  

Give yourself alternatives, do some reading, and good luck!
